Yes. You can start using Mallow for free. If you want to sell more, you can upgrade to one of our paid plans at any time.
What do I need to create an account?
Just your email address. We keep registration simple and only ask for the information we actually need.
Do I have to use my real name?
No. Every Mallow member can choose their own username. This is the name other members will see when interacting with you.
Do buyers get my email address or phone number?
No. You can communicate directly with interested buyers through Mallow’s in-app chat. There’s no need to share your private email address or phone number just to sell something.
How do I communicate with someone interested in my item?
Simply use Mallow Chat. Ask questions, discuss the item, agree on a price and arrange a local pickup — all without leaving the app.
Why is Mallow local only?
Because we believe good things don’t need to travel across the country to find a new home. Mallow connects neighbors with neighbors, making secondhand shopping more personal, convenient and local.
How far away can people see my listing?
Mallow intentionally limits the visibility of listings to a defined local radius. This keeps Mallow focused on your neighborhood instead of becoming another nationwide marketplace.
Why does Mallow focus on local pickup?
We’d rather see a chair, a box of kids’ clothes or a favorite toy find a new home around the corner than travel across the country. Local pickup means less packaging, no shipping hassle and lower costs for everyone.
Why does Mallow need my location?
Mallow uses your location to keep the marketplace local. It allows us to determine which items and neighbors are within the permitted area around you.
Can other users see my exact location?
No. Your exact GPS location is not displayed to other users. They only see an approximate distance, such as “500 m away.”
Does Mallow constantly track my GPS location?
No. Location is only used when needed for Mallow’s local marketplace features. We don’t use your location to create advertising profiles or sell location data.
Does Mallow show ads?
No. Mallow is completely ad-free. Your neighborhood marketplace should be about people and their things — not advertisers competing for your attention.
Does Mallow track me?
